We’re excited to share our Spring/Summer 2015 collection, The Golden Magnet, inspired by the May 1966 issue of National Geographic magazine.

“Roughly 1 out of 10 U.S. residents make the Golden State their home. That is, about 1,000 people per day.”  — National Geographic, May 1966.

It was a period of optimism. The notion that you could make a new life, a fresh start, in beautiful California, is as relevant today as it was in 1966.

In this collection we use premium textiles and leathers which accentuate many of the attractions that grabbed people’s attention during the mid-60s. Natural vegetable-tanned leather represents a nod to the extraordinary agricultural production of the times. The Mojave capsule – pays respect to military bases pronounced throughout the state during 1966. Pan Am references the California travel posters and the graphic advertising boom that resulted from the mass migration.

An inspiring place, vast and various, has the power to change life’s direction. Spring ’15 is light, hopeful, inspiring. The irresistible allure of California is The Golden Magnet.
