Courtside California – 1965.

We’re relentless when it comes to researching a good story from our favorite era. We were down a rabbit hole, scouring the history of the Los Angeles tennis scene of the 1960s when we designed one of our greatest hits, the Westwood Tennis Shoe. The crosstown rivalry of Bruins vs. Trojans, Arthur Ashe vs. Stan Smith, and ultimately the Bruin’s team captain Arthur Ashe leading his team victoriously to the 1965 NCAA championship is inspiring –– to say the least.
